Thanks to all of you who participated in SendOutCards’ SendYourLove campaign for the victims of the Trolley Square incident. The campaign has completed. Here is an update from SendOutCards’ website:
Thank you to everyone who sent cards to the victims of the Trolley Square incident. We printed roughly 2000 cards. There were about 200 cards for each family.
Most of the cards were dropped off at LDS Hospital, University Hospital, and the Salt Lake Police Station. We also had the opportunity to meet Officer Hammond, the police officer who held back the shooter. He was very grateful for the many heartfelt cards he received.
The cards sent to the husband of Vanessa Quinn were delivered to a family friend, Lori Carpenter of Sandy, Utah. She welcomed us into her home and even baked us some chocolate chip cookies. We had a very nice chat with her. She sends her thanks to everyone for their support. She planned to give the cards to Rich, Vanessa’s husband, later that evening.
Once again, we’d like to thank all of you for participating in this effort. Each one of you has helped provide some comfort to the recovering victims and their families during this difficult time.
Thanks for making a difference!
